We’ve rounded up the best festive events in Plano that are sure to bring that extra dose of holiday cheer to your winter. From glittering light shows to meetings with the big man himself, Santa, Huffines Chevrolet Plano has you covered on all things holiday fun.

The Gift of Christmas 2022

The Gift of Christmas, a time-honored tradition returns once more to Prestonwood Baptist Church. This Christmas show is a multimedia event, including special effects, a live orchestra, flying angels, a live nativity scene, and much more. The program is for all ages, so you can bring the whole family along.

Get into the holiday spirit by singing your favorite Christmas songs alongside a live choir. Carefully crafted lighting and scenic designs bring the story of Christmas to life, all to the tune of an original musical score specifically arranged and written for this extraordinary event. The program runs from Dec. 2 to Dec. 11, with tickets starting at $19. Kick off the holiday season with where it all began.

Lights on the Farm

The Heritage Farmstead Museum is set to be illuminated with over one million holiday lights as part of its second annual Lights on the Farm event. It will take place from Nov. 25 to Dec. 30 and will be closed on Christmas Day and Christmas Eve.

The dazzling event will feature a variety of holiday light displays and activities, such as a 20-foot Christmas tree and a quarter-mile trail of stunning lights. You can enjoy refreshments such as s’mores and hot cocoa around a toasty fire. There will also be a chance for the kids to meet Santa. Don’t miss out on this illuminating event, and register in advance. The farm will open at 6:00 p.m., and the last entry will be granted at 9:00 p.m.

Scrooge! The Musical

The fun and fast-paced musical production, “Scrooge! The Musical” is returning to Plano for the holiday season. It’s the 12th anniversary of this North Texas Performing Arts tradition. Based on Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol,” the musical is about miserly Scrooge as he neglects his loved ones to count his gold coins. One fateful Christmas Eve, he gets the chance to redeem himself for his soul and humanity. “Scrooge! The Musical” is a wonderful reminder of the importance of love and family during the holidays, with fun musical numbers interwoven throughout the story.

The production has been named one of the top ten must-see events for the Christmas season by Plano Profile. Mike Mazur returns as the director for his eighth year, promising to bring the audience a high-quality experience that will keep the tradition alive and fresh. Performances will be held in The Courtyard Theatre from Dec. 7 to Dec. 11 and at the Willow Bend Center of the Arts from Dec. 14 to Dec. 18. Ticket prices start at $20.
